The Samsung Group’s IT subsidiary, the Samsung SDS, has recently launched an upgraded version of its enterprise blockchain-based platform.
The new platform has been christened the Nexledger Universal. It provides a programming interface application that can be utilized on various blockchains like Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, and Samsung SDS’ Nexledger Consensus Algorithm.
Samsung SDS explained in its recently released press statement that users can utilize the enhanced platform to create applications for authentication, proof of originality, and payment settlements.
Nexledger Universal is now available on Azure’s marketplace.
Jeanie Hong, senior VP, and head of the Blockchain Center at Samsung SDS, admitted that they plan to expand their cloud-centered blockchain platform by getting Nexledger Universal registered on different cloud marketplaces.
The upgrades made to the Nexledger platform underscores what Hong Yuan Zhen said in March. According to the Samsung SDS CEO, blockchain improves the manufacturing industry’s productivity. He emphasized how vital communication is to the whole supply chain management process. With data needing to be collected, the company can improve processes via AI and blockchain. This will lead to more trust and faster sharing of information, thus resulting in the creation of a robust process.
Samsung is just continuing to build on its blockchain adaptation. The company’s IT subsidiary revealed back in February that it created a way to speed up transactions on blockchain. The company unveiled the Nexledger Accelerator at IBM’s vaunted conference – Think 2019. The event was held in San Francisco.
The new technology is said to have already passed testing done on the Hyperledger Fabric.
