Blockchain Company Includes Ravencoin in List of Supported Cryptocurrencies

Blockchain firm tZero has included Ravencoin (RVN) to its list of digital currencies its Crypto mobile trading app and crypto wallet will support.

tZero Crypto App

In a recently published press release, tZero announced that Ravencoin will be third cryptocurrency the tZero Crypto app will support. The company already has support for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) in place.

The app is now available for Android and iOS devices. As per the press release, the company has submitted the revamped iOS app with RVN support to the Apple Store the previous day. Meanwhile, the update for its Android app is set to be published now.

The tZero Crypto app was introduced back in June. It lets users purchase, hold, and sell cryptocurrency assets. It boasts of a one-of-a-kind private key recovery feature to retrieve funds and assets in case a private key or mobile device is lost.

Saum Noursalehi on the Topic

Saum Noursalehi, tZero’s CEO, discussed the company’s latest development and explained why they chose to integrate RVN support. He said that Ravencoin is one of the fastest growing cryptos out today. It is also “philosophically aligned” with the company’s aim to make it simpler to digitize assets and ensure they’re “freely tradable.”

Noursalehi added that Ravencoin makes direct issuance and on-chain transfer of any crypto asset and security tokens possible. This makes support for RVN a logical choice for the tZero Crypto.

tZero’s press statement describes Ravencoin as an open-source digital currency that aims to enable real-time payments, develop and support digital collectibles, fiat currency, gift cards, security tokens, utility tokens, and various user-defined assets.

tZero is a subsidiary of retail titan Overstock. The company is focused on the development of blockchain-based applications.
